The Commercial Field Service Apprentice plays an integral role in maintaining clean energy systems across ReVision Energy territories. This position includes, but is not limited to, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing our commercial electrical installations (solar electric, battery storage, EV charging stations).
Service Apprentices, with guidance from their Lead Service Electrician, will complete preventative and corrective maintenance. Responsibilities consist of maintenance and inspection, module removal and replacement, inverter and module-level power electronics replacement, diagnosis, troubleshooting and repairs.
Primary Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Respond to electrical service calls including photovoltaic, battery storage, and electric vehicle chargers
Diagnose, troubleshoot, communicate with tech support, and make repairs
Provide support to fellow team members, communicating clearly and effectively
Communicate with customers regarding service issues and path to resolution
Update internal service records in CRM, including photo documentation and information
Gather all information needed to apply for warranty claims
Required Licenses, Certifications, Qualifications:
Enrollment in ReVision Energy Electrical Apprenticeship Program
OSHA 10 safety course
Valid driver’s license
Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces, and work on high roof tops in varying hot and cold temperatures
Safety conscious – must be comfortable enforcing safety rules with everyone, including supervisors, customers, and co-workers
